Just before Covid-19 “lockdown” was announced at Home Heroes we submitted our application to be considered to become a Chartered Building Consultancy (CBC) with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
So why do we want to be a Chartered Building Consultancy? well first we are proud members of the CIOB, I myself am a chartered member and as such am a big advocate of the CIOB and the work that it has undertaken in Heritage and construction in General.
According to the CIOB
“Organisations Chartered with CIOB are independently assessed and regularly audited. They can demonstrate that they:
- Are competently and professionally run
- Operate to high business and ethical standards
- Are committed to developing a fully qualified workforce
- Have a significant number of directors that are already Chartered, either with CIOB or other built environment organisations “
So after several weeks of delay’s due to the ongoing situation we got news this week that we are now approved and our a chartered building consultancy
